Vital Records in Connecticut

Vital records in Connecticut are administered by the Connecticut Department of Public Health, where they issue certified copies of birth, death & marriage records. Divorce records must be requested from the town where the divorce was filed. A substantial portion of records between 1850 – 1897 are available on microfilm from the Connecticut State Library's History and Genealogy Unit.
